Anyone who shops around for computer hardware, electronics, or other gadgets
has probably come across Newegg.com. Go to a forum where computer enthusiast
congregate and ask where to get a component and many of the people will steer
you to Newegg.
For a long time, if you lived in Canada you could not order from Newegg.
This was a huge problem for many Canadian PC enthusiasts since their American
counterparts were partaking of some of the deals Newegg had to offer.
Here in America, Newegg says it is the second-largest online retailer.
Newegg built a reputation on good customer service, good prices, and fast
shipment. I have purchased from Newegg many times personally. The site claims
that it is able to ship 99% of approved orders within 24 hours of the order
being placed.
Canadian electronics and computer enthusiasts will be very glad to hear that Newegg
is opening up a Canadian website and will be shipping gear into Canada. The
exact date Newegg.ca will go online and start accepting orders is unknown, but
it should be fairly soon since Newegg has already announced its plans. It's not
clear if Newegg will open a Canadian warehouse, or if all items will be shipped
from its existing warehouse.
