By Hafgrim on 7/22/2008 11:23:39 PM , Rating: 2
I've seen some in a few OEM boxs at bestbuy lately. But I cant wait to see some reviews on those 9800GT video cards to see for sure if they are any better then the 8800GT they are rumored to be the same as, with only a tri SLI addition. Or if they're actually something cool. =)

Read the ati 4870X2 review from yesterday, they had some interesting number on the 9800 in some cases beating it's newer sibling the 280.

I think the reason for it not being posted is that it's not a review, and more like a teaser or preview

I lost all confidence...

I've been pondering upgrading my rig... looking at the crop of available processors from Intel, and so I took a look a the review, " Processors
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ OCC

I read intro..then looked at a few sections of interest... when I hit the Bioshock section.. I lost all confidence when the reviewer made this comment.

"BioShock is one of the newest games on the market"

Ghad...."newest" ? It's gotta be almost a year old, I played it on a Pentium 4 system just fine.

My $.02

Sorry, I rated you down by mistake :-s

I was just looking at the article you mentioned as I assumed it was one of those old articles/reviews that sneak in from time to time but sure enough, it's dated 21st July 2008.

Maybe the reviewer has a PS3 where Bioshock has yet to arrive?

It seems strange that they haven't compared the performance of the Q9300 with Wolfdale C2D processors that are similarly priced* like the E8500.

If you're on a budget the E8500 (or cheaper Wolfdale?) is probably a better bet for the majority of people, especially those who game?

* Going on UK prices from scan.co.uk: Q9300 = £167/173 (OEM/Retail) & E8500 = £164/123 (OEM/Retail - Retail is cheaper???)
